Big Kid

Kaden turned one year old on Monday (birthday post coming soon!). Now that he is so big, we have decided that Kaden needs to start helping out with the chores around the house. I have been trying to think of some chores that he would be able to do well, but Kaden beat me to it. He volunteered to help pull his own weight with some chores. Don't believe me? Here's some proof:

He grabbed the mini broom and began sweeping the entry way. He brushed the shoes, the stairs, the boxes, and here is a picture of him sliding his finger along the baseboards to make sure there is no dust. Very thorough.

You have to look at it from every angle to make sure you are cleaning it well.

Time to do dishes. As I was unloading the dishwasher, I turned my back for one second (that's all the time it takes) and he surprised me by climbing onto the dishwasher. "I'll take it from here, Mom,"

I'm so glad that he's learned at such a young age the important principle of "doing household chores so your parents don't have to." He's going to be so much more prepared for the real world.

Now if only I can get him to clean up after himself. Then I'd be set.

Tricks

In just a few days, Kaden will be turning 1 year old. ONE YEAR ALREADY????   Needless to say, he has grown a lot.  Some of his latest developments are rather quite impressive. For instance, Kaden can now tap dance.

We are thinking of sending him to audition for Lord of the Dance, but Chris isn't too keen on him wearing that type of outfit just yet.
Only a few men can truly pull off this kind of attire.

In the mean time, he will have to make due with making his debut on Youtube.

Well, what do you think?

I know, I know. We still need to get him the actual shoes. And some pants.
